About Result 200

Result 200 has been operating since July 2022, based out of Canberra, ACT, placing ICT specialists into Commonwealth departments.

Being in Canberra puts us next to where most Commonwealth ICT work is bought and delivered. It is not where the work stops: we place into departmental offices in Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne as well as the ACT, and into remote and hybrid arrangements where a department supports them.

Most ICT recruitment is a volume business: cast wide, submit many, hope something sticks. That works for the agency and it is miserable for everyone else. We run the opposite way — fewer roles, more care on each one, and a straight answer when the answer is no.

What that means if you are a contractor

You deal with the same person start to finish. We will tell you what the role actually involves, including the parts that are not in the listing, and we will not put you forward for something you are not right for just to make up numbers. When a department comes back, you hear about it the same day.

What that means if you are a department

You get a small number of candidates who have genuinely been assessed against your criteria, with the gaps named rather than papered over. We would rather submit two people we can stand behind than eight we cannot.

The standard in the name

HTTP 200 is the response a system returns when a request succeeded and there is nothing further to report. The name is deliberate: it is the standard we hold the work to.

A placement has worked when the person is in the role, delivering, and nothing is escalating back to the department. That is what we measure — not submissions made or roles filled, but engagements that run their full term and get extended.
